Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the zepay data mobile application and associated services provided by ZePay. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ZePay's services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

ZePay provides digital bill payment and airtime/data solutions through the zepay data mobile app. Our services include:

  • Airtime top-up for all major Nigerian mobile networks (MTN, GLO, Airtel, 9mobile)
  • Mobile data bundle purchases (SME, SME2, Gifting, Corporate plans)
  • Cable TV subscriptions (DStv, GOtv, Startimes)
  • Electricity bill payments (prepaid and postpaid meters)
  • In-app wallet funding via Paystack (card or bank transfer)

All transactions are fulfilled using your wallet balance. Your wallet must have sufficient funds before a transaction can be completed.

3. User Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a resident of Nigeria
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

4. Account Registration and Security

You register with your phone number and create a 4-digit PIN to secure your account. You are fully responsible for keeping your PIN confidential. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

You may optionally enable biometric login (fingerprint or face recognition) as a convenient alternative to your PIN. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system — ZePay does not store biometric data.

You must immediately contact us at info@zepayng.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. Payment Terms

Wallet Funding:

You may top up your ZePay wallet using a debit card or bank transfer via Paystack, our licensed payment processor. Card and bank details are handled directly by Paystack and are not stored on ZePay servers. By funding your wallet, you authorize ZePay to hold the deposited amount for use on in-app transactions.

Transaction Fees:

All applicable fees will be clearly displayed before you complete any transaction. Fees may vary based on the service and amount.

Refunds and Non-reversible Services:

Airtime, data bundles, and utility payments are digital services that are fulfilled instantly and are non-refundable once successfully delivered to the beneficiary number or meter. If a transaction fails and your wallet was debited, the amount will be reversed to your wallet balance within 24 hours. If you believe a delivered transaction is incorrect, contact us at info@zepayng.com within 24 hours with your transaction reference.

Wallet Balance:

Your wallet balance is not a bank deposit and does not earn interest. ZePay is not a bank and the wallet is a prepaid transaction facility only.

6. Service Availability

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our services. We reserve the right to temporarily suspend services for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose or to conduct any illegal activity, including but not limited to:

Fraudulent transactions
Money laundering
Violation of any applicable laws
Unauthorized access to our systems

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and data on our platform, including but not limited to software, databases, text, graphics, icons, hyperlinks, private information, designs, and agreements, are the property of ZePay or its licensors.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of our services, to understand our practices.

By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

Important Notice

ZePay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our services.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific transaction in question.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through:

  1. Direct negotiation with our customer support team
  2. Mediation through a neutral third party
  3. Legal proceedings in Nigerian courts

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to our services immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through our platform. Continued use of our services after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
